Roland Mascarenhas is a management consultant in Mumbai. He has worked in the private enterprise, public sector, nonprofits, political campaigns, and has appeared in the media.
He often appears in national media outlets, writing for the National Post (on politics, along with policing); the Toronto Star; the Vancouver Sun; and The Hill Times. He has also featured in CBC News, South Asian Generation Next Magazine and current affairs show, The Agenda with Steve Paikin, where he spoke on the Labour Market on one show, and Politics on the other. At the age of 23, he was a Sessional Guest Lecturer at York University, one of the youngest in it's history. He has presented at seven academic conferences, including the American Sociological Association.
He graduated from Harvard University with his Masters, having previously attended York University and the University of Toronto, where he represented two universities in two different sports (football and soccer), culminating in a tryout for Team Canada in the former.
Beyond his deep love of athletics, he has great passion for the reading, the arts, politics, documentaries and community organizing. A global citizen, he has lived in the United States and India, having visited thirty-five countries across five continents.
